Family Planning Services
The Family Planning Program provides preventative physical exams with clinical breast exams and cancer screening in the form of a Pap Smear. Women do not begin to have Pap Smears until they are 21 years old. Annual exams are expected to be done every year especially if a woman is on some form of birth control. BCHD is able to bill some insurances, Medicaid, and bill on a sliding scale for those with no insurance. Exam services are offered every Thursday by an APRN.
These services include:
- Health history
- Physical Examination and lab tests
- Pregnancy tests
- Contraceptive supplies
- Health counseling
- Condoms distribution
All Family Planning Services are confidential. Parental consent is encouraged but not required.
