Overdose Spike Alert
Alert Issued to Hardin, Jefferson, Daviess, and Christian County.
Since the end of January through February 20, four different alerts have been issued for suspected nonfatal drug overdose EMS encounters through the Overdose Detection Mapping Application System (ODMAP), which represents an unusually high number in the time period for the counties listed. Drug overdose alerts are generated when a county shows an unusual increase in nonfatal drug overdose-related EMS encounters in a 24-hour period. Therefore, caution is encouraged for people who use drugs in or around these areas. To read the full alerts here: Overdose Alerts
